Colleen Myhre is a small-time girl proving she has more than enough to give. Written by her and her husband and recorded in the living room of their rural Northern Minnesota home, Rivers Run Dry, is a testament to the hard work and dues she has paid performing in local honky-tonks and taverns. Myhre is a folk-country-blues singer/songwriter grounded in passionate and sincere family values. Her songwriting ranges from honest emotion and earthly imagery to the raucousness of horses, strippers, and whiskey. Myhre possesses the ability to hypnotize listeners by creating sympathy between her voice and guitar that resonates a true American, and local, spirit.
i LOVED playing with you yesterday!! thanks for the great ride! your songs & playing style are amazing. thanks also for bringing dinner by to the grace. that was very kind & i really appreciated it. i hope you had a chance to kick back & relax today. -kathy
Was that your cowgirl hat I saw over the counter at the B&B stand yesterday at the Fair? I got hit with grill smoke and sunshine pretty good on Sunday--making it a little hard for me to see anything or recognize anyone. I also never got a chance to see you play, people were sure liking those pork chops--BUT I could hear you pretty well over the Demolition Derby; no small feat, there, kiddo---it sounded good!
