Colonies is the musical identity of Brian Koscho. Sometimes this means he plays everything or one thing. Sometimes he is joined by other people. Sometimes what comes out is structured like a song. Sometimes what comes out is made up as you are seeing it.
Brian previously recorded two albums as Callboxfiftyone but that project has been replaced by this one. The tracks above are from that project.
The new Colonies album (due sometime in 2009) will be focused on basic tracks that are structured and planned out, and then layers will be added by lots of different folks.
Live shows will be more experimental and less structured. Sometimes noisy, sometimes not.
Brian also plays bass in Casual Future among many other assorted projects. Colonies is a proud member and supporter of the Aquabear Legion.
