Heroes
Our heroes are the survivors and the folks that serve them. From the time the crime takes place to the time of healing, those that touch the lives of others and help them on the road to "survivor" are the true heroes.

About me: We are the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance. We provide training and networking opportunities for victims of crime and those that serve them. We are active in the Colorado State Legislature as a representative voice for victims of crime, and monitor state and federal legislation that affects victims of crime. We provide training on the Colorado Victim Rights Act, Cultural Competency, Legal Privilege for Victim Advocates, and more. We host the best statewide victim services conference in the nation; with over 1,000 individuals representing law enforcement, district attorney's offices, mental health agencies, churches, schools, sexual assault programs, domestic violence programs, victim advocates, prosecutors, child advocacy programs, victims of crime, and more! We provide leadership for the unification of agencies, individuals, and organizations who are committed to the humanization of the criminal justice system through victim advocacy.
Who I'd like to meet: We would like to introduce ourselves to the MySpace community, meet new friends, and invite YOU to become a member of COVA and help us fight victimization in Colorado and around the world!
National Victims' Rights Week was April 13-19, 2008. The theme this year was Justice for Victims. Justice for All. Our focus, in Colorado, was Identity Theft Prevention. Our Event was attended by more than 200 people!
The 20th Annual COVA Conference will take place October 26-29, 2008. Join us for this opportunity to expand our skills in serving victims of crime! Visit our website for more information.
Hi, thanks for the add, I put you on my top friends, I am a member and volunteer of Families of Homicide Victims and Missing Persons (FOHVAMP). I got a scholarship to attend your annual conference in October. See you there!
I would just like to say thank you for adding me. But more importantly, I want to thank you for assisting me with my stay in Colorado Springs so that I may attend the trial of the individual who took my Son Kevin's life! This is a very stressful time in my life and your organization has helped to relieve some of that stress for me and as I said I "THANK YOU" so very much...it is a blessing to know that there are individuals such as yourselves out there to assist people in a time of need! May God Bless all of your organization!
