Accidentally trapping your nipples in a door whilst being beaten around the spine by a badger with a large cooked ham saying their massaging you but you know their just satisfying their ham style human beating urge whilst that carefully if but precariously stacked pile of cadburys fingers falls squarely on your little toe thusly nullifying the days work and causing a hairline fracture which unfortunately being the least of your injuries as now even the flocking midgets are sticking bamboo up your fingernails {PAUSE}
Thirty secong chunks is the way
Born in Sheffield/Scunthorpe the band were formed way back in the mists of time somewhere around November 2000. In December 2000 two of the original members, the Bass player and rhythm guitarist, quit the week before the first gig! John and Ritchie, the remaining members, set about song writing and recording. They messed around with songs but never played a single gig. They needed a third member.
The search for a bass player was long and hard, but in September 2001 Liam was recruited. The line-up now consisting of John on Guitar/Vox, Ritchie on Drums/Vox and Liam on Bass/Vox. It was decided that Colorpool would remain a three piece and would concentrate solely on original material.
Today Colorpool are a hardworking band who also get a real buzz from performing. Lively and energetic the music is ORIGINAL, tight aggressive guitar driven garage rock, with funky bass lines, rock steady beats and melodies youll be humming all week whilst our stage antics have often been described as organised insanity, chaos and general mayhem. Main influences are guitar bands ranging from the Beatles through to Nirvana, Primus, Foo fighters and many more.
Now armed with a manager and lots of new material the band are set to go all the way..........
