Colossa, a new name with a stack of experience from previous bands, fuses raw power with melodic rock. Or as VPRO 3VOOR12 puts it: "The songs revolve around powerful riffs over a tight beat. You can't stay still to this music."
The trio from Utrecht and Limburg has only been around since the summer of 2008, when they began writing songs for their first record. The three then shut themselves away in the studio together with producer Ferry Duijsens (Viberider). Jacques de Haard (Hermano) took over the mastering.
The debut EP 'Colossa' was released in March this year and has already been downloaded many times from the site free of charge. Fans of Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters have got a new band to watch out for.
