When asked to classify their music, Colour Cold immediately thought of bands like Collective Soul, Live and maybe even the Goo Goo Dolls.
Formed in 2003 by electric-axe slinger Elizabeth Tsikkos and poet-for-hire Dirk Hanekom, the band have been making their immediately familiar and yet unquantifiable music for 5 years. Completing their line up with Tiaan Kussman and bassist Groot Dirk Rupping, Colour Cold have gone from local Bfn band to the UK Rock Show, music play lists on radio from South Africa to Greece after the release of their debut album in March 2008. Reminiscent of bands like early Genesis at times, or so they have heard, but with an unorthodox twist, their debut album is available from their distributor Bowline Music and online at www.cdbaby.com/cd/colourcold
New music in 2009 will be available for download through Rhythm Online in South Africa. Their digital release, "A walk on the cold side" includes "Higher than the Sun" and can be viewed on www.youtube.com/colourcold
3 years of live footage, behind the scenes and interviews along with independent band Gee Davey from the States, all put together as a short documentary has been uploaded.
