The coloured dreams are Tam Cassidy and Kevin McGowan; they grew up and still live in the gritty working class area of Alloa, brought up on a diet of the beatles, pink floyd, the doors, jimi hendrix and punk. when they first met they found they had lots in common in their taste in music and desire to create, they dreamed of getting away from the dark cloud of unemployment in the area and so the idea, name and the beggining of coloured dreams was born!,they have been performing and writing together since that day which has seen them form a strong friendship and songwriting partnership, they have done the club circuit firstly in their home town, then other areas of Scotland, then England. Then they went on to tour Europe 3 times on a circular rout from Lille in the North of France to Nice and Antibes in the South, to Switzerland and Luxembourg through to Holland and Belgium. Over the last few years they have been finalists in many song-writing competitions including the Daily Records Big Break, the Falkirk Big Day event and more recently the pringles unsung final in london. The current line up has Alan Huntley on drums and stevie gillies on bass. They are now going to take there songs and show on the road, they are also going to record some more songs, Tam and Kev have been writing since they first picked up a guitar so they have a backlog of songs to work with. These guys are at their most comfortable in life when they are on stage and pour every ounce of their emotion into live performances in a way that makes the audience feel their passion for what they do. They perform together in a manner that can only be accounted to the work they have put in through the years. They have chemistry between them that others try to emulate but which can only be something one is born with, all this mixed with their humour and their charm and you have the coloured dreams!

We're hoping to be back open for business in mid March 08' but in the meantime why not take a look at what the all new Machine Room Studios has to offer...
LIVE ROOM A... ---------------------
Home to our baby grand piano, this large room with wood floors and high ceilings makes for a very 'live' reverberant space. Ideal for huge drum sounds, big guitars and lush strings, piano and ensembles.
LIVE ROOM B... ---------------------
A great all round room. Acoustically treated with a mixture of diffusion and absorption to give an airy, tight and controlled recording space. Great for most applications, including tight drum tracking and vocals.
CONTROL ROOM... --------------------------
Expertly designed to give an accurate listening and mixing environment. Home to our 2 Mackie Digital 8 Bus consoles giving us over 96 channels of mixdown, dynamics and infinite routing possibilities as well as full recall, automation and flying faders. Completed with an Apple Mac G5 running Logic Pro 7.

It seems like years since the last Moorfest happened and to be honest I think the weather was very much a factor in whether people enjoyed themselves or not. Some thrived in the mud whilst others wept until their dads could pick them up. Moorfest is still carving an identity for itself and in the three years that it has been established I think I can say that the one thing that most people love about it is the friendly atmosphere, and this gig is a good opportunity to meet up with friends that perhaps you haven't seen since the festival, to make new friends, enjoy quality music, get a flavour of Moorfest if you haven't already been and also to talk to the organisers in order to give your opinions on how to improve the festival. We'll also be projecting your favourite photos that you've taken from previous Moorfests to create a live mashup that will adorn the walls of the Brudenell so please send them to bandsformoorfest@yahoo.co.uk and make sure that everyone in the picture is cool for you to use them like this.
There'll be much more to boot like gorgeous organic food, t-shirt stall, films and raffles to win tickets to Moorfest 4 which we're working on right now and aim to make it the best yet.
We really appreciate your continued support in making Moorfest what it is and hope to see you all there.
