  • Bio

COLOURS OF BUBBLES have emerged in the North Lithuanian town Šiauliai, a cradle for most interesting guitar-based and arty bands in the country. The „Colours" have inherited their rehearsal studio, located in the center of Šiauliai, as well as passion for original music from their „elder brothers" BRAINERS and AXIS. Born and risen in the families of well-known Lithuanian musicians, COLOURS OF BUBBLES chose their own style and means of expression which connect the modern indie sounds with European-styled country feedback. The four lads have played together more that 100 concerts in Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Polish and French clubs, halls and festivals, including Positivus, Piladzis, Patarei Kulturitolm, B2Gether, Visagino Country and Browar Rock. Lithuanian radio station "Radiocentras" DJs voted their song "My Little Sue" right to the 7th place of the annual best songs Top 100 in 2009, the top position among the local performers .In 2010, COLOURS OF BUBBLES released and successfully presented in short tour their debut EP "Today I Am Feeling Better Than Ever". It has earned Song of The Year and Best Rock Band in the local ŠAMA 2011 awards. The band also contributed the music score for staging of the play „Finer Noble Gasses" by Adam Rapp at Šiauliai Drama Theater. And in March, 2011 they successfully performed at the opening night at the main Baltic showcase festival "Tallinn Music Week 2011", which was visited by the Estonian president Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves. When asked by the correspondent of largest Lithuanian daily "Lietuvos rytas" about the impressions, Mr. President said: "A lot of energy! And sharp guitars, ain't it?"
