My work quite naturally seeks out a unity and wholeness. Within this are integrated many aspects of contemporary music with no perceived barriers. My language is not ‘eclectic', but ‘distilled', drawing on elements of improvisation, electronica, song-writing and large-scale classical form. It seeks to develop presentational frameworks that extend notions of audience-performance relationships.
As well as composing for a wide range of performers and ensembles, much of my work is created for my own two groups, the Homemade Orchestra and MooV. This has led to the ability to search deeper and longer into areas of fascination and nurture richer, ongoing relationships with certain key performers.
I hope you like the music and I'd love to hear your comments about it.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that my new album Afrikan Machinery is out now on Tzadik Records. Check out some of the tracks on my profile! You can buy the CD here, here, or here. It's also available on iTunes.
Best Wishes, Lukas Ligeti
Last night I went to see Bill Bruford & Michiel Borstlap at the RNCM which was excellent, really enjoyable. I managed to have a quick chat afterwards, he was signing CD's at the merchandising stall, so I asked him about your project and he was very positive about it. (why is it that he looks about 30 years younger than the other members of Yes!!!)
Are you by any chance going to the No-Man gig at the Bush Hall in August?

Hi Colin, Thanks for the comment! My album should be out in about 3/4 weeks time, should be available on itunes in about a month too.. glad you're still listening!
p.s. I've noticed a lot of people are using facebook these days - I've got an appreciation station over there too - click here for that , if you are interested !
Hi Col, Good to hear from you and I'm pleased you like the loops. How's it going with Bill B? I would have loved to come to the evening you did recently but getting to London at short notice is difficult unless it's on a Saturday. Is there a recording yet?
Hi Colin, Long time no see... I like "composer of no fixed indocrination" - a good way to be these days I think. Fits in with 'The Still Small Voice', hard to put into a category, which is good! (Very nice piece, who's playing it, I wonder?) I hope all goes well. Very best wishes!! Graham
Hi Col,
Good to hear from you!
re. the loops, I'm doing one a month usually just giving myself a few hours to complete each one, then in December I'll compile them into an album with all twelve. So far so good, I've just put June Loop up today.
Hi Colin and thanks for the add! I heard that you are coming up to Leeds to visit/work with Lis in June, look forward to meeting you. I very much like your music here and also the cd that you gave Lis.
Best,
Ståle

Thank you for your interest ... you say "I hope you like the music and I'd love to hear your comments about it." ... well on the first point, I most certainly did, and the second, I loved the space, the pace, the time to breath and absorb the music.

Elisabeth
