Serving their apprenticeship the old fashioned way by extensively touring the local, and more recently, national gig & festival circuits, Cumbria-based COLT 45 are preparing to climb the next rung of the contemporary rock ladder following the completion of their debut EP. Recorded with legendary rock producer Romesh Dodangoda (Funeral For A Friend, Kids In Glass Houses, The Blackout) at his Longwave Studios in Cardiff in early 2011, it includes the likes of the in-your-face, unrelenting pop-punk franticism of 'These Unspoken Arguments,' to the riff-heavy brutality and energy of the aptly titled, 'Shit Happens,' and the future main stage-anthem 'Chasing Yesterday,'. The EP demonstrates exactly the intentions of COLT 45 - with more hooks than a tackle box, it'll have you air-guitaring and screaming the choruses again and again!

COLT 45 live presents a different prospect altogether, showcasing their dynamic and energetic set with as much heart and passion as you can shake a stick at, audiences are overwhelmed by the three-pronged aural attack which is as brutally rocking, as it is melodic and catchy. Influenced in equal parts by small-town frustration and a shared love of alternative rock music (think Social Distortion, Jimmy Eat World, Manic Street Preachers, Million Dead, Ash, Fugazi, Alkaline Trio, At The Drive-In...)

Sharing stages in 2011 with the likes of Young Guns, Francesqa, The Crave, Tiger Please, UK Subs & Futureheads, COLT 45 have the sound, performance and personality to win over any lover of guitar based pop & rock… the music does the talking, no clichés, no stylists, COLT 45 are true purveyors of SUBSTANCE OVER STYLE.

    Chances are if you're reading this you already know who we are. We play a pretty energetic blend of punk, rock & pop, and enjoy performing anywhere and everywhere. We've hit the UK pretty hard this year, and recently opened the BBC Introducing Stage at Radio One's Big Weekend, headlined by Foo Fighters & Lady GooGa.
