Come December was formed in the spring of 2004 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Our original name, Cross Ties, was changed when we discovered another Texas band had prior claim to the name. Not wanting to be sued for all we were worth (about $3.64), we decided to swallow our pride and change our name.
Anyway, our name Come December comes from our observation that humanity always changes for the better around Christmas time. In December, we openly honor and celebrate Jesus, decorating our homes and cities with lights, trees and nativity scenes. We gather with family and friends and sing songs in celebration of Him. We treat each other with extra kindness, generosity and love, the very way we are instructed to do in the Bible.
It seems that December is the only time of year humanity openly honors God and focuses on Christ with their hearts and minds, so we pray.... Come December.
Who then , can separate us from the love of Christ? can trouble do it,or hardship or persecution or gunger or proverty or danger or dead?
for i am certain that nothing can separate us frome his love ; neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers ,neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is our through Christ Jesus our Lord
