A bonafide comedy-fizz bomb, Ayrshire born Billy Kirkwood has quickly established himself as one of Scottish comedy’s best new up and comers with an ever expanding cult following. Thanks to his unique yet slightly surreal style of storytelling, likeable on-stage presence, energetic performances, non-existent attention span, he is widely regarded as a must-see act.
Performing everywhere from subway carriages and rooftop buses, on board Calmac Ferries or in prisons, Billy has also clocked up sell-out solo shows at the Glasgow Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. As well as being a Stand regular, he can be seen gigging right across the UK.
Billy’s TV and radio credits include Stake Out (BBC), Online Nation (CW Network), Hedz (BBC) and Get 100 (BBC), The Gentleman’s Closet Comedy Podcast (iTunes) and he recently made his film debut in the pirate fantasy Escape from Pirate Bay. Who knows what he’ll do next!
Billy Kirkwood is a full time stand up/writer and actor living in sunny Kilmarnock with his Wife and spend the best parts of the day thinking of ways to make folk laugh....life is good. I love Horror Movies, Good Music and getting obsessive about the silly and obsecure.
Billy is admittedly the last short fat angry, angry little man
