|
| Bio | Luke Thayer decided to enter the family business in the most unusual way. As the son of a preacher, Luke is spreading the good word... of comedy. Well-versed (haha) in stand-up, sketch and improvisational comedy, Luke is a clean comedian that weaves in and out of silliness and observation. He loves sharing his own personal embarrassment along with commentary on the lunacy that is life.
After college, Luke won multiple local comedy contests in his hometown of Indianapolis before moving to New York City. He has trained at the Improv Olympic Theater in Chicago and the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater in New York City.
Luke is the co-creator and producer of the popular live show, "The Living Room" in Brooklyn, NY where he performs stand-up and over 25 original sketch characters. He can be seen at famous venues of the New York underground scene including the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater, Rififi, and Gotham City Improv as well as various clubs around New York City and the country. He has been heard on WVIP New York’s Ebony and Ivory Show, Cringe Humor Radio Network’s Schachter Factor, and has been featured in INtake Magazine, and seen on MTV.com and Lifetime.com. | | Website | comedianluke.com |
