About me:
Hi, My name is Steve and I would like to share my story of how I ended up where I am at today.

I am on a mission to help people learn Self Sufficient Farm Living.

I live in the Ozark mountains, the most beautiful and tranquil scenery you could imagine. I have a beautiful farm and a quaint little house. I spend my days gardening, checking on the livestock, putting up hay, cutting firewood or just taking a walk or sitting by the creek. You can check my farm out by going to

Oak Springs Mountain Ranch.

My biggest passion was returning to the hills in which I grew up. I love these hills. They give me a sense of peace and tranquility that most people only dream. My biggest fear was that life would pass me by and I would have to wait till retirement before returning to what I love. I knew that if I could work from home, then my dream would come true. Self Sufficient Farm Living
You see, most people that live here in the mountains have to drive 2 hours down dirt roads and curvy blacktop roads to get to work. They barely make ends meet and are caught in what seems an endless trap. I was use to more conveniences and a much more comfortable lifestyle, and I refuse to settle for anything less. I have this while I work from home and play on my farm. So, I decided to set a new goal: I will prosper off the land in which I love; I will grow most of my food, build most of what I need, and be as self sufficient as much as I possibly can. I will have the finer things that I am acustomed too and even more. To make a long story short, I bought my 400 acre farm and moved! That's right, It was a decision based on passion, not reason. I put in a garden, bought five heifer calves, some chickens, some hogs, fixed up the old farm house and here I am. Sound unrealistic?. I promise you, it's not. My friends were telling me I'd come back to teaching in the classroom within a year. I have learned that nothing is impossible if you put your mind, body and soul into it. Think of your life. What do you really want? Do it! Mute that little voice that keeps telling you "it can't be done" and just "Do It"
Who I'd like to meet:
People who want to learn how to meet their day to day needs by createing and doing things themselves and not depending on large companies and corporations
