EEK (Exceptionally Excited Kids) is a nonprofit organization for all children and young adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities. EEK was established in 2005 by Sue Marabito and Erica Sandoval. We are both mothers of a child with a disability - my daughter Unity has Autism and Sue's son Joey has Down Syndrome.
WHAT WE DO:
• Organize exercise programs and adaptive sports for children and young adults with disabilities
• Create socializing opportunities through team participation
• Emphasize learning new skills
• Offer a safe, fun environment for all participants, including siblings and parents
• Educate the community with parents on the importance of exercise and nutrition for individuals with special needs
• Provide resources for families
• See the ABILTY in dis-Ability!
We seek to eliminate the physical and societal barriers that exist for people with disabilities to be able to fully participate in exercise programs sufficient to raise their levels of fitness. These barriers must be removed in order for them to join in activities and exercise with their peers in ways that are enjoyable and engaging, which is what we ALL deserve.

I am truly blessed with the gift of your friendship. I'm very sorry that I haven't been in touch like I should have lately. With all that has been going on with Winston I have not gotten too many chances to be online. The weeks have really gone by fast. I praise God so much that Winston is improving and is almost back to 100%. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon. Thank you for understanding and continuing to be my friend. I miss you!
Jaelyn is a pro now at turing on her toy you got her. She impressed everyone by pushing the button on and off! ha ha. and the duck and frog that came with her bath set u got...she loves them. they are her favorite bath toys to chew on..even if they are covered in soap! ha ha. Her new thing is when we check on her in the middle of the night we keep finding her siting up sleeping ha ha..shes something else!
