...... .. .. ...... .. STORY BEHIND THE MUSIC: .. A redhead, a blonde and a brunette walk into a men’s bathroom. The redhead says “Let’s get naked!” the blonde says “Let’s rock!” and the brunette says “I’ve got this!” This is how three girls come together. .. The Northeast Florida-based all-girl, original glam-rock trio, Coming Undone, formed in 2008. After some female bonding and a few shows under their belts, in April of 2010, they released their freshman album, “She Fakes It.” The album holds sentiment for the power trios of the early 90s and girl-grunge bands but the basic rock n roll progressions of the songs are reminiscent of an earlier, simpler time in rock music, a la The Kinks. .. WHY YOU SHOULD CHECK ‘EM OUT: .. All Grrlz, All Glam, All the Time! If you love lots of glitter, big hair and good old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll all covered in sprinkles, then these are the girls for you. With harmony-driven vocals and flirty, female stage banter, you are sure to have a good time while the infectious melodies will have you swinging your hips to the beat. Their catchy tunes and fun attitudes are what caught everyone’s ear at the recent 102.9 The X’s Last Band Standing competition at the Jacksonville Landing. After a first round of text-only fan votes, the girls moved on to the final round on July 31, where they earned the title of Jacksonville’s Last Band Standing after competing for text votes from the audience as well as votes from a judges panel. Along with the title, they won the opportunity to play at the Jacksonville Landing’s Florida/Georgia Game Halftime Party. .. Though the girls are definitely girlie, the music still packs a punk rock punch and carries a dark side. The songs span the range of emotions from the silly yet sultry to the seductive and severe. The song “Can’t Wait” spouts the lyrics “Take what you can get, ‘cause I ain’t stayin’ long tonite,” and “Coming Undone”, their namesake song warns, “Guess I should let you know, in case you’re unaware, I have a reputation for givin’ men nightmares.” This is all in good fun, as can be seen by their smiles and the fun the girls have together on stage. Ivey brings intense emotion to her singing and Jen backs up her poppy melodies with pleasantly cohesive harmonies. Dusty is an old-skool rock ‘n’ roll queen on her throne behind the drums and drives through the songs with the enthusiasm of the beautiful buxom blonde she is. The girls really do boast a redhead, a blonde and a brunette; hence one of their slogans: “Something for everyone!” .. .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ........

A redhead, a blonde and a brunette walk into a men’s bathroom. The redhead says “Let’s get naked!” the blonde says “Let’s rock!” and the brunette says “I’ve got this!” This is how three girls come together.

The Northeast Florida-based all-girl, original glam-rock trio, Coming Undone, formed in 2008.
