Common Bond is an ensemble of seven instrumentalists and a vocalist featuring original world Music, written and arranged especially for this ensemble by its founder, Kobi Shefi.
The members of the ensemble come from a wide range of musical backgrounds: from Classical music through Rock & Jazz to Ethnic music. Each player contributes his own style and experience. Combined with the outstanding voice of the vocalist, Common Bond feutures a rich, warm and unique sound.
Common Bond’s “Ethnic-World-Jazz Music” is inspired by motives from the Balkan, the Middle-East and Afro-Latin areas, while using special musical instruments such as Oboe, Zurna, Duduk & Didgeridoo.
Since the ensemble's foundation in 1998, the 'Common Bond' has performed around Israel as well as appearing in international music festivals, such as the 'Kaunas' Jazz festival in Lithuania, the 'Ruska-Swing' festival in Finland, the 'Red Sea' Jazz festival in Israel and the 'Joy of Jazz' festival in South Africa. Its performances have been broadcasted on radio and TV stations around the world.
Common Bond’s show is hot, energetic and versatile. It can be described as a journey through an intricate web of musical styles, uniting on stage to form a warm and homogenous picture of a pure love for music.
1st album by Israeli ensemble common bond, founded and led by guitarist and composer Kobi Shefi. Although founded at the end of nineteen ninety nine, the nine-piece band took a long time to mature and develop. They recorded a demo album a few years back, but this is their formal debut release, and as it turns out it was worth waiting for. In many respects this is one of the finest albums ever recorded in this country and it encapsulates the capabilities of the phenomenal new generation of Israeli musicians.
Kobi, who wrote most of the music and the spectacular arrangements on this album, is a seasoned player with solid Jazz background - he was a member of Harold Rubin Parapr's group. Drummer Roni Zadik who is another veteran musician, keeps the music incredibly tight, regardless of the complex rhythmic patterns. All the other players are slightly younger (late 20s / early 30s) with extensive musical education and performing experience.
The band creates an incredible big sound, with intricate brass arrangements and jazzy solos, but the music combines (as the band’s name suggests) the best of Jazz, Fusion, Funk and World Music elements into an amalgam of rare beauty and spectacular effect. Think blood sweat & tears, tower of power, Santana with a dash of Middle Eastern and Balkan melancholy, Absolutely stunning! Since the album was released, Common Bond performed extensively in many countries with enormous success and they are surely destined to go far. If you wish to explore the wonderful world of new Israeli music – this is the album to start with. You are in for a treat of your (musical) life.

„Good time with the Israeli band“
Ethno group Common Bond from Israel performed for the first time in Belgrade, by the appraisal from the audience it is surely not the last. Sava Centre hosted a concert that last for a bit less than 2 hours.
Group members – 7 instrumentalists and vocalists come from various musical background, from classical via rock, jazz to ethno and funky music. Each member of the band brings it’s style to the unique sound – combining the best of the above mentioned musical types.
Shaped with a extraordinary vocal, Common Bond offered to Belgrade public a spectacular sound and an exciting time.
- I really enjoyed listening to their compositions and amazing sound, hopefully they will perform again – said Nenad Vujic, a student that attended the concert.
His friend did not know what to expect since he never heard of them, but he bought a CD at the end of the concert.
- They have made an unforgettable atmosphere and made my day. Their combination of various music trends can attract the audience of different taste, since everyone can find something that they like in their music. I like the combination of rock and ethno, I am not sorry that I decided to spend money on this concert instead of beer and a movie once I was oboe on stage – sais Strahinja from Sabac.
The music of Common Bond was created by combining balkan, and afrolatin motives, that was a fortyeight year old Kobi Shefi inspired with. This famous guitarist from Israel, apart from forming this band, also arranges the music and writes the lyrics for this jazz ensemble. The unusual sound wa enhance with special music instruments such as oboe, zorna, duduk...
Common Bond was formed in 1998, so far they have performed on numerous national and international music festivals.

... the sky is clearing, tender sunrays strike one's skin again, the air is fresh and clean and sometimes one can even watch a rainbow.
This situation represents pretty much the musical atmosphere of Krama's second album: Mighty bass structures form a clean and solid foundation, on which sunny melodies swash out of trancy depths, accompanied by forcing rhythm structures. Since 2001, Dimitris Violitzis and Elias Garanis from Greece have constantly developed their very own definition of Power Progressive Trance.
The epic flow of their music is inspired by their musical background, which includes minimal Progressive Trance on the one hand but also classical and Celtic music, New Age sounds and even some Metal.
The intense effectiveness of Krama's tunes could already been witnessed on many different Progressive floors where the two dudes always delivered excellent shows.
