Common Collective are the DJing partnership of Belfast based producer Capitale Soul and Sofa Kid. Friends for a number of years, it would be the lads mutual interest in varied worldwide sounds that would lead them to join musical forces.
Capitale Soul aka Darren Speers has been producing latin and jazz tinged house music on and off for a period of four years.
Aside from DJing at his own successful Souljah nights at Laverys and The Pavilion, Capitale Soul has played at Sketchy, J2Z and on Radio Ulsters Across The Line Dance Show. Darren has also received support from Ric McClelland, Lyndon Stephens, Mark Bell and Spree amongst others.
Sofa Kid aka Ben Jones is a regular presence on the local DJing circuit and it's his knack for unearthing downtempo, latin and jazz fused gems that has made him a firm favourite with aficionados and newbies alike.
With these two talents combined what you can expect is the very finest in global grooves.
Watch this space for more Common Collective DJing slots coming to other venues across Belfast.
