Common Grave has been founded in spring 1999 and recorded its first demo "M.D.K" in 2000. But after a variety of line-up changes the release of Common Grave’s debut album “Dehumanized” in 2006 marked a new beginning for the band. It defined their musical style: A mixture of traditional US death metal with blasts, brutal grooves, breakdowns and a few tech death elements. “Dehumanized” was recorded and produced by Stefan Fimmers and Muhammed Suicmez (both Necrophagist) and released via Twilight Distribution.
Now Common Grave are about to finish the recordings of their second long-player “Embedded Coding”. Once again produced by Stefan Fimmers, the new album is the next significant step in the band’s development. It offers matured and refined songwriting that is more complex and melodic but nevertheless destined to kill on stage. And this is what the band is living for!
After playing support gigs for bands like i.e. Necrophagist, Immolation, Job for a Cowboy, Deadlock or Vomitory, the band has proven to be a serious international live act by securing the support slot for last year’s renowned Summer Slaughter Canada tour (Necrophagist, Dying Fetus, Beneath the Massacre, Into Eternity…). After the hugely successful tour, Common Grave are back and ready to unleash the raw brutality of “Embedded Coding” in Europe!
