I listen mostly to Contemporary Christian music. I have a lot of good friends music that I listen to regularly also (Yeah Jocelyn Porter Project, Judith Avers and Mean Max!) My daughter laughs because I rarely know who or what the latest hot bands or songs are. I didn't really care for country much until I sang in a country singing contest. Fell in love with the song, Fancy" by Reba. Got a standing ovavtion singing it at a competition last year!
My favorite singer ever and will always be is NICHOLE NORDEMAN! She is brutally honest about her faith and her doubts in her music. She's definitely my role model as a performer!

Movies
Beaches is probably my all time favorite. I like Beautiful and basically anything that makes you bawl your eyes out. Mainly because I have a hard time crying on my own! Chariots of Fire ranks high also. It reminds me stand up for what I believe no matter what the sacrifice.
Television
I'm not huge into TV. But I do like Fresh Prince. I watch movies most. I have all 7 seasons of the Golden Girls on DVD (Thanks Terry!). They crack me up! My sister got me hooked on Monk. I love that they have finally showcased someone with a mental disorder in a somewhat positive light!
Books
I'm not much of a reader. But, if I had to pick one, it would definitely be the BIBLE! I have read through it several times from cover to cover. Though, lately I have to admit, I do not read it nearly as much as I should!
Heroes
No doubt, number 1 is Jesus Christ! TERRY COLVIN is my favorite hero in skin! I'm so glad I held out for him! (Just ask anyone that was at the Semi Finals for Erie Idol!)I love you baby!!!!

My name is Cathi. I LOVE BUTTERFLIES! It's the whole ugly into something beautiful thing! I strive to always make something beautiful out of my life to transform the ugliness of the incredbly abusive childhood that I survived! I am a vegeterian and feel so much healthier since making the choice. They call me "GG" for God Girl because I talk about God so much. I am a Born Again Christian and proud of it! I have 2 beautiful daughters that have my heart. I want them to grow up to have God's heart! So I have to be a good Christian role model for them. I'm a performer and a promotor. As a performer performing for primarily secular audiences, I have alot of what the church would call "unGodly" friends. Lately I have not been real trilled with how "the church" has treated them and views them or my relationships wih them, so I have not been feeling as secure there as I have in the past. I use to invite friends to church on a regular basis. I'm attending a good church now and I'm singing on the worship team. I wish I could say that I feel 100% safe there, but I've just been too hurt. However, noone there has given me any reason not to trust them. In fact it's been quite the opposite. It's both refreshing and scary!
But God.... HE NEVER CHANGES! HE"S ALWAYS THE SAME!!!!!!!
I used to sing professionally and I have three recording projects. I have a progressive hearing loss and started wearing a hearing aide over 2 years ago, so I don't sing as much, or as well, as I use to, but nothing can ever keep me from my passion!! I am the Director for Common Ground, which is a Diversity Talent Showcase, and I use to direct a dance troupe called Tolerance.
I made it to the top 5 in Erie Idol last year then was rushed to the ER with pluerisy that I developeed from inhaling second hand smoke! Still have some residual breathing problems from it! Finals are in the same place this year! UGH! How can you have a singing competition in a smoked filled atmosphere?
I use to coach gymnastics and strength and conditioning for my daughters ALL Star cheerleading squads (both National Champions, by the way!) and I can still tumble myself. My equlibrium problems make it hard to know where I am in the air! I also had my wrist broken by a client so I'm a bit more cautious tumbling then I use to be. Plus, my daughter keeps reminding me that I'm not as young as I use to be. I PRETEND NOT TO HEAR HER! I still do private lessons for gymnsatics and strength training. I have my Personal Trainer Certification!!!!!! I work with special needs children one on one in their schools and homes as my real job and hope to eventually develope fitness programs for special needs children and adults. I'm hoping to sit under a physical and occupational therapist soon to learn more about the differences in the bodies of different individuals with disorders.
I use to run marathons, but now I am training for powerlifting. I broke the WORLD Natural Powerlfiting Federation Deadlift record in my division last year!!!!!! I love working out with my boyfriend, THE HOTTEST MAN ALIVE and the MOST GENUINE MAN on the planet! I also love to play basketball and do my own silk screening.
Who I'd like to meet: JESUS! Open minded, non judgemental, "Christlike" Christians and anyone else that has a passion to promote tolerance and diversity. Performers that have more lyrics than cursing in their songs!
