Common Grounds is a coffee shop/music venue in Waco TX. We cater to local and national acts of all genres. We have also held other special events in the backyard area. Everything from estate sales to dance parties to private gatherings. There is almost always something going down in the Backyard, and when there isn't, it's just a chill spot for students and friends to hang out.
Every other Monday we host "Majestic Movie Mondays" where we show classic movies on our projector on the backyard stage. It's free to all and has become quite popular with the Baylor students who need a break from studying. There is nothing like watching a good movie with a huge group of friends! So come check it out every other Monday.
Every Wednesday we open up our stage to local aspiring artists with an Open Mic Session. Sign up sheet available is inside so just ask the baristas and they'll get you signed up. Even if you're not looking to play you can still come and check out live music for free every Wednesday!
We also host some of the biggest concerts in Waco. Our backyard stage has been an iconic part of the local music scene for the past two years. Since the addition of the backyard stage and pro quality sound system, we have been a regular stop for dozens of national touring acts as well as many local bands.
