WEEKLY GROUPS

TRUST:

Group for High School
Aged Students

TRUST is a weekly group for LGBTQ high school students and their straight allies.

It is a safe space to come, meet new people, talk, listen, get support and hang-out.

TRUST meets Tuesday Nights from 6:30-8:00pm, send a message, or call (845) 634-6677 ext 20 for location. Note: TRUST is meeting every other week for the Summer.




Triangles:

Group for 18 years thru Early 20s

Triangles is Youth Pride's newest group.

Triangles is a space for 18-21 year old LGBTQ young adults and allies to come and hang-out.
It's a place to talk about whatever issues are going in your life, in a safe non-judgmental environment.

Triangles meets every Wednesday Night from 6:30pm to 8:00pm
at the
Haverstraw Community Center.

Common Threads Youth Empowerment Retreat


Common Threads is an annual weekend retreat for high school students that offers workshops on current adolescent issues in a safe and fun-filled atmosphere. The retreat aims to create a sense of community and hel;ps teens learn how to create change in areas such as diversity, health, personal safety, political advocacy, and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.... All while participating in unique activities, and encouraging self expression and openness Common Threads 2010 will once again be held at Stony Point Center the weekend before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We ask that participants attend in groups with an adult advisor (one advisor per six youth) If you do not belong to such a group, or need help finding an advisor, please contact us ASAP and we will work with you to get you to Common Threads. The Camp was a week long retreat for 18-24 year old LGBTQ young adults and there allies.

Youth from the NY metro area, around NY State, Connecticut, and the Boston area spent a week learning about leadership, diversity issues, spirituality, and personal safety- all while building a community of understanding and caring.
