About me: Light Work/Community Darkrooms (LW/CD) is a public access photography facility located in the Robert B. Menschel Media Center at Syracuse University. LW/CD is open to Syracuse University students and the general public through semester and yearly memberships, or through a low hourly rate. LW/CD is a modern photographic facility designed to provide access too the equipment and materials needed to produce photographs in both color and black-and-white; experiment with multimedia, web design, and digital photography; or learn new skills through a variety of classes and workshops offered each semester.
LW/CD is open evenings and weekend hours to accommodate your busy schedule. Our lab assistants are on hand at all times to answer questions and provide assistance. LW/CD is also a valuable resource for information about upcoming gallery exhibitions, grant opportunities, and local events listings. In 2001, LW/CD was completely renovated from floor to ceiling making it one of the most technically advanced photography and computer imaging studios.
Paid parking is available at Booth and Marion Lots
