WCOM is a low power, listener supported FM Radio Station located in downtown Carrboro, NC - just a few blocks from Cat's Cradle and across from Weaver Street Market on Greensboro.

If you can't hear us too well on the FM dial, remember - we're low power. In some areas we come in great - and some areas not so great. Upper right-hand corner of the website.

Affiliated with Pacifica Broadcasting (Democracy Now with Amy Goodman), WCOM has a very eclectic, non conformist format - including World Music, Latin, Folk, Indy Rock, Roots, Reggae.

WCOM also has many talk shows with information of interest to the local community. WCOM prides itself on featuring tons of Local and Regional music - artists based in and around the Carrboro/Chapel Hill area.

    Embarrassing Fruits band live & filmed tonight in Greensboro:

    The Dot Matrix Project is a collective of documentarians based in Greensboro, NC, who graciously organize free concerts, and then photograph, record and film them for the artists. They've already done amazing shows with our friends Hammer No More the Fingers and Sorry About Dresden, as well as many of Greensboro's finest bands. We are happy to announce that our own Embarrassing Fruits will be getting the Dot Matrix treatment at The Green Burro on September 24 at 8PM.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    What is TTWD Fest?
    TTWD is an all day music festival held at the Old Gilliam Mill Park outside of Sanford, NC on August 8, 2009. The park is a replica of a 19th century grist mill, and it is a great place to see music. Bands play in an amphitheatre style setting on a stage that looks like the front porch of an old shack. It has sort of an “Austin City Limits” feel. There are campsites with electricity, running water, bathrooms, and showers. There is also a full kitchen onsite, and food and beverages will be provided by Bella Bistro.
    Point your GPS to 4613 Carbonton Rd, SANFORD, North Carolina 27330 (This is the closest physical address to the park which is on Hwy 42 W / Carbonton Road in between Wakefield Road and Pickard Road and off of US Hwy 1 just south of Hwy 421.)
