| General | Things I like... reading (I'm on a Harry Potter kick right now), writing, singing, participating in theatre, and I like dolphins.
 | | Music | Anything from Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Spring Awakening, a lot of different musicals. For classical, Tchaikovsky... I don't really know, I listen to really random stuff. I like Vertical Horizon and The Fray. I've been listening to 90s techno quite a bit lately. ;) ALSO! Wizard Rock is one of my biggest vices. Check out some of the bands in my friends. they're the best. Seriously though, I love music, but if you picked up my ipod, you'd get all this Broadway stuff, a little country, a little 80s, 90s, disney songs (for when i'm feeling sappy) and every now and then a mugglecast or potter audiobook will break in, and that's generally when people start to realize i'm weird. I really like the Goo Goo Dolls though. Unique instrumentation, and he has a nice voice. And I like celtic music. Y'know, bagpipes, strings, singing in a language that I'll never be able to learn, that sort of thing. Wow, this is probably my longest answer. I love my music. Might even start a band. | | Movies | The Lord of the Rings movies rocked, I thought. I'm really into the mind twisty ones like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (though the ending cheesed me out a bit) and Butterfly Effect (Normally not and Ashton fan, but he did alright.) Liked the Spiderman movies, HATED the Hulk. Men in Black was cute. Shrek was cool, the sequel bit ass. (which means not good for all you brainwave challenged out there.) | | Television | I watch Smallville when it comes out on DVD, same with Supernatural. I like Law and Order okay, SVU is the best, CSI is cool, Shark is sweet. Saw the first season of Lost, liked that, but I don't have much tv time. Usually what I watch is after it's out on DVD. Used to watch Charmed, but it's been too soap-opera-esque for me to really deal with lately. | | Books | Harry Potter, Eragon, Carlos Ruiz Zafon's 'Shadow of the Wind' which was the only one of his books translated into english, and I'm PISSED at the publishers because of it. Brilliant author, if you know Spanish look for his stuff on Amazon, if not, find Shadow of the Wind and read it, and maybe it will inspire you to learn spanish to read his other books. Also, 'The Still,' by David something or other. EDIT: Storm pointed out that I forgot to mention one of my favorite books on here, and I don't know what I was thinking. Vanyel, Tylendel(Steph), and Melenna my namesake... You're my heroes! Except for Melenna, she worries me, lol. | | Heroes | :sob, sob: and i would like to thank my mom, for giving birth to me, and all my friends for supporting me throughout everything I do, and.... No, okay seriously. About 4 people outside of my family have made an impact on my life. Mandi, Liz, Mrs. B., and J.K.Rowling. I know the last one sounds really cheesy, but alot of what I do, my writing and reading was because of Harry Potter. In all honesty, I joined myspace because of the mugglecast group. lol. I'm a dork, and I'm okay with that. ;) |
