COMPASS is the gay-straight alliance at Glendale Community College and in general, an awesome student club! Anyone is welcome to join; whether gay, straight, bi, transgender, or still trying to figure it all out, you are accepted! Join us for a variety of discussions, social events, volunteering opportunities: we do all kinds of things! We meet every Thursday at 4:00pm in room SU-123B of the Student Union.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Compass club helps its members find direction and discover their sexual identity by providing a safe environment where members can express their thoughts and feelings. We provide a sense of community to those of different sexual orientations providing the support and understanding that each person needs. We bring people together to promote community involvement, and seek to educate our members and the community on GLBTQ issues. The ultimate goal of Compass is to advance equality and unity by encouraging awareness and understanding.

The American Lung Association is hosting an event called Climb Phoenix! and it is different than any other athletic event in Arizona. Climb Phoenix! is a 2-building, 53-story, 1272 step Stair Climb that will take place in the stairwells of the beautiful Renaissance Square buildings in downtown Phoenix. It is a great challenge for a great cause.
