I have been playing the decks since roughly '96 and to this day I love it more than ever.

I got started when a mate brought round some decks for a house party. Needless to say they ended up getting left at mine for months and I learnt to mix using his cheesy house music.

Once I moved to Birmingham I bought some decks of my own and decided that drum and bass was where I was at on the musical horizon. My first gig was at Willys Bar opposite where we lived and we packed out the up stairs and I walked away with my first £30 earned as a DJ.

Since then I have played out around Birmingham at most of the main venues as well as some of the less main venues and helped put on some regular nights and one off events.

I started scratching in a funk band called Funk Pig. The band is an improvisational rhythm-section, that creates carbon-based funk using live bass and drums with samples and loops triggered in real-time. Unfortunately due to the core members being involved with other projects and just generally having a life out side of the band we have not done a lot of the past months. Hopefully 2007 will see the return of The Pig on an unsuspecting Birmingham.

I have been messing round with making tunes for ages, well making noise any way, but now I have really sat down to 'do it properly' and set-up my own home studio. My tools of choice are:
