After you've finished here, you may like to hear this folk-carol on myspace... Poem 230 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (see my blog for details): CHRISTMAS SUNG SIMPLY
As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.
Aw the poor baby. It's hard to leave home. I remember my year in France..tough going but it will fly. A ukelele is a wonderful idea, especially for Holly..she's so cute and it would really suit her singing style. We have some lovely little ones here we got for Elle. Lanikai is the make. Get 'em in Crowleys in Cork and Pro Musica. Tell Holly I said chin up.
Conas 'tan tu a Chonal. Just checking in with my favourite flute player. Say hello to the lovely Holly for me. Hope she isn't too homesick and is practising her clawhammer guitar. My own has slid since she left because there's no need to practice!
Congratulations on your mastery of the flute and also for the beautiful instrumental repertoire presented. I hope you also enjoy listening to my provincial music as much as I do yours. Please, accept a sincere embrace and admiration from your Brazilian fan,
Great to hear those tunes on my Space Conal, heard you had some great tunes in Roscommon last Wed. with some other great flute players like yourself, hope to tip a tune with you sometime. Best of luck Joe
Belated happy new year! Sorry, it's been a while since you added me, my myspace fanaticism has worn off a little. Thanks for your cyber-friendhip! Hope to see you in the Corner House sometime soon!
