Freda Rente' Singer/Songwriter/Musician/Producer
Freda's instrumental talents developed much later throughout a course of years. However, Freda's vocal ability was nurtured in her early years. After a brief yet life changing encounter with the Stage/Screen Actress/ Jazz Singer, "Ethal Waters" found her crying in a hallway at Miservy Elementary School, in Kansas City, Mo.
Ms. Waters had seen both the instrumental and vocal auditions of Freda and had heard the music instructor tell Freda that she had no rhythm. (imagine that!). Ms. Ethal Waters found Freda and said "your voice, is your calling. You are so young and it is already so beautiful. Use it, Please use it."
Ms. Waters words were strong but the music instructors words were stronger. Freda' passion for the opera, ballet, musicals, acting and painting helped distract her from trying to play an instrument. Freda landed a part on the "Mr. Rogers Show, and the later a few plays and really small parts in movies and commercials. Freda returned to what felt the best, but scared her the most, Music!
Freda has sang most styles and has had the pleasure of recording, jamming and/or performing with some pretty cool peeps and has played some cool events through the years.
Billy "Bass" Nelson -"Parliement Funkedelic, Patrick Morez-"Yes" and The "Moody Blues". Hillel Slovack- "The Red Hot Chili Peppers", "The Alley Cats", "The Zarkons", "Firehose", "The Chemical People", "Dos", "Vicious Attack", "Chingas De Mingas", "Redemption", "Lawndale", "Tex andThe Horseheads", "Banyan", "The Point Fermin Rockers", to name a few.
Freda has written script and music, mixed and engineered "personalized advertisment" for such companies as 'Cal Worthinton", "Save-On", "Coldwell Bank", "Space Age Travel" as well as others.
Freda slowly picked up the bass, keyboard, guitar, drums and sitar over the years. Now, it's anything she can get her hands on. So much for having no rhthym!
Freda released a 22 song CD "Where's My Water?" featuring an army of talent, "Dez Cadena, Nels Cline, Watt, Kira, Robert Hecker, Mario Lalli, Gary Arce, Jonathan Hall and a many, many more. Published an art/lyric book, designed jewlry, and an adult game" Your Wish Is My Desire", produced other artist and I think that I have found a cure for the hick-ups!
Freda is currently working on a new reggae cd, rock cd and an accoustic cd., Publishing her second book and performs with the "Jack Brewer Reunion Band' made up of people from "Saccharine Trust", "Swa", "Leagal Weapon", "The Lazy Cowgirls" and "Vicious Attack".

Good hearing the Vicous Attack. How is your documentary going. ? On the next version you should try to cut in some of the video footage you have, even some from the Mr T's you have on your you tube page or some Brewer Band Footage. Weren't you Freda Rated? It would be good to put that in if you were.

thanks a lot Freda,I like using my old Fostex 8track,but the sounds not the greatest thats why I tried pro tools, and it does sound better, but Im not the most computer savvy well Im a PC and wonder if that ever makes it harder with some of these programs,even though they're compatible, anyway thanks for the tip. jay
