Hello. I"m a freelance writer and the author of Concrete to Canvas: skateboarders' Art and Concrete 2 Canvas: More Skateboarders' Art .
I'm very excited about the new book being published September 2009 called 'Art by Tattooists: Beyond Flash', following the same format of the Con to Can books but this time focusing on artwork by tattooists.
The new book features personal artwork by tattooists, focusing on the fantastic artwork they produce outside of the tattoo studio. Featured artists include Guy Aitchison, Michele Wortman, Mandie Barber, Chris Bourke, Daniel Albrigo, Regino Gonzales and Angelique Houtkamp. The cover of the new book is below and features artwork by Gillian Goldstein. The foreword is written by Jesse Lee Denning. Read my blog post to see the full list of contributing artists.
