once upon a time, there was this guy, and he did stuff. a few people said, "why do you do stuff the way you do? you should do it some other way. your way makes no sense." and so he poured pink lemonade on their pants before disappearing into the night, with the moon his incestuous bride and witness all rolled into one. the end.
okay, so maybe that doesn't quite cover all the bases. i make music. i do other things too. sometimes i breathe in. sometimes i breathe out. sometimes i equip various stuffed animals with cigarettes and sunglasses. sometimes i take some music and put it on this round thing that spins when you put it in certain things, and noise comes out. it sounds like...well, whatever round spinning things sound like. in keeping with the theme of doing the things that i do (a radical concept if ever there was one), i'm currently working on about 79 different albums, at least 46 of which will never see the light of day. but those other 33, man...look out.
honestly, there's money to be made on sundays if you're a freelance classical musician like me. plus, i don't work on tuesdays, fridays, and saturdays so.....
email? i'm just sitting here in milwaukee on a hungover sunday drinking my coffee listening to absence of sway on a dreary cold day trying to summon the will to get ready for work. hope you are well friend. one of my best friends is moving to toronto in the next year so maybe we can finally meet up.
seriously, the ending of weird sex dream #72 is just perfect. love that song! i think it would be interesting if you made a whole album of weird sex dream songs.
Generic Love Song To Play At Your Wedding is yummy. "anybody... could be my body" ooo la al.
being able to read the lyrics makes my year, sir. and you know my opinion on the photos already! thank you! shouldn't be too long before you get some mail as well, maybe a couple months, depending on how many ideas I get for page-filling...
i kinda released an ep last christmas as a gift to friends which i was going to send your way but never got around to it cause i'm unforgivably lazy; i only have one new song to add to the collection. i haven't been doing much writing or playing or recording of that nature in the past year. i'm not as prolific as you. and one of my friends that i did that with is moving to florida this week. *sigh* maybe we could start up an email correspondence again. i don't seem to have internet in my place but i get out for wifi semi regularly. this 'comment' has turned into an almost email.
guess what i got in the mail yesterday....perfect timing since my life has took a shitty turn for the worse. just started listening. like it so far. actually seeing your mug is nice too.
it's like we have parallel lives or something. the chorus of my newest song: 'you said nothing/just like i knew you would/time hasn't taught me better/i still haven't learned better'
i had every intention of sending you a christmas gift and it's still in need of mailing. maybe my guilt will inspire me to put it in the mail. don't hold your breath just yet.
