So what happens when you mix and compound the sublime vocals of Juanita Tippins with the deep neo-80’s sweetfunk groovations of producer/guitarist Josh Beagley? Like Rick James says “Read your dictionary book!”

"These guys are making more then mere waves in the UK with Soul & independent charting success and double thumbs up reviews from the old guards of the UK Soul Scene. Featuring lead vocals from sexy soul diva Juanita Tippins, whose credits include Sleepy Jackson, Sneaky Sound System, Koolism and Disco Montego, Confection’s sleek sound comes courtesy of the unique grooves and production of Josh Beagley (SWOOP, Fatback 4Way), who desired to revisit the 12” sounds of the 80’s (think labels like Flyte Tyme + Solar, artists like SOS Band and Evelyn Champagne King). Confection’s sound harkens back to the kind of carefree sweet ass 80’s dance floor soul music that inspired many of the samples and melodies that dominate today’s revisionist hits."
