The Rev. Jesse rocks the mandolin and screams himself into a trance, Maz(el Tov) plays Astralachian guitar,Brien slaps the dog-house bass, living legend "Professor Horsehair"-Chip Cohen blows everybody's mind with his otherworldly fiddling, while Papa Soul plays washboard when he's not in the Soul Kitchen.
On our recordings and occaisionally at a live show, you'll come across the wild rogues; Zach Harigodt- Banjo, Jobidiah Griswald- Wahsboard, Matt Highland- Harmonica, Heather Bray- fiddle. Their contributions to the band (while less frequent nowadays) remains enormous.

The Conjugal Visitors
Conjugal Visitors shows are always raging events! With their unique mix of Mountain Dance music, bluegrass, jazz, old-time country and jug/folk, Conjugal Visitors shows are always a hoot. And judging from the massive crowds that keep showing up to their gigs, and the fact that they were just voted Best Acoustic Band in the Eugene Weekly's "Best of Eugene" reader's poll, it seems like a good chunk of Lane County knows that there's always a good time to be had with The Conjugals! These boys are hot musicians and great singers, and they aren't shy about putting it on display during marathon sets of tightly woven arrangements and jazzy improvisation. Watching them perform makes you feel like you've stumbled into a free-wheeling, living room jam session/ party, but the talent and polish soon shines through the laid back attitude.
2007 was an amazing year for the Conjugal Visitors. After playing some explosive sets at venues like Eugene's WOW Hall, Seattle's Folk Life Festival, The Oregon Country Fair and the Willamette Valley Folkfest--as well as dozens of clubs, barn dances, festivals, weddings and private parties all over the northwest--the group finished out the year with a pair of packed gigs at Eugene, Oregon's McDonald Theater. 2008 saw the Visitors hittin' the road and picking up fans from Seattle to Portland to Southern Oregon and playing local parties such as Ken Babbs 4th of July and the Eugene Celebration.
The Visitor's just released their 2nd CD, "Satchel's Rag," and it's chock full of tasty nuggets. With rockers like "Satan's Mandolin" and the dreamy, introspective "Old Moon," this raw, dancey disc is available at Visitors shows and from the band directly at conjugalvisitors@yahoo.com.

I got to see you guys the last couple years at folk life and you were great. I am glad to see you will be there this year too! I'll make sure we come by and see you fellas. :)
Hello Conjugal Visitors, thank you for adding me to your circle of friends. I loved your song samples. No wonder you are in such demand for shows. I hope to catch you live this summer when I am in Oregon. Have fun, John
Hey guys, we're hoping to make it to the show on Saturday, we still have the evening happy hour gig at the White Eagle. And...we asked about "Tohu" in Burma. We didn't get a recipe but we were informed that the Shen people in the northern provinces make a tofu like product out of garbonzo beans.
Come to Roslyn, WA. You would love it and everyone here would love you. Plus we have the oldest operating bar in Washington state. It's called The Brick and it's also a kickass venue nestled in the middle of a quiet mountain town.
Good to network! I get up your way regular and am looking for music to be made. any suggestions?? got fam in albany and visit often. Hope this economy isnt hurting any of you or yours. Marty
