For those who need an introduction let me describe to you what happens when BARAJA DE ORO grabs a hold of a stage, floor or just a corner somewhere. We become unstoppable; the silence at times is breath-taking as we approach the stage somewhere in a secluded place or an open stage. People who have never experienced us hold their breath. Our regulars smile and hearts start pounding as they feel the energy grow, as they know what BARAJA DE ORO is capable of. We are well rehearsed, we are dressed to kill, and we are armed and dangerous with our bajo, bass, drums, accordion and vocals. The room is filled with soul, spirit of Conjunto music. There is a stage to be filled with conjuntos finest. Chris Rivera – Drummer- who supplies the heart beat –Jonathan Ramos –BASS- who solid Bass playing skills set the solid pace- Jaime Pacheco-Bajo Sexto- who fills in the dance loop- and Mario & Betty Barajas-Vocalist's of BARAJA DE ORO! Betty Barajas "Baby Girl" who strong in experience and sweet in sound does an un-believable segunda for the lead vocal. Mario Barajas-Accordianista and Lead vocals whose experience exceeds, from the age of 14yrs. old playing professionally for "Fama", "Pression", "Innocencia" and recorded with some of the best entertainers in the tejano music industry, as we know it. He is a strong leader; a great role model whom he knows first hand how important that is to our Hispanic youths. He unselfishly gives of himself every time he performs. He is a great music composer. He advises some our best here in Dallas, TX. He is called upon at a lot of our cities events as well as the surrounding towns. When looked down at, we still smile and hope the best for our fellow brothers whom in a short time forget, there is enough talent, business, and gigs to go around we will never underbid ourselves just to stay busy.
