ONE HOUR. That’s all the time it takes to save lives. Cancer patients, those waiting for organ transplants and accident victims are just a few of the south Texas patients who depend on you and your precious blood donation.
Every day, we must collect 600 units of blood in order to supply the needs of our community blood supply. Help us meet these needs by donating at one of our donation sites or listed drives.
Thanks for donating blood! You are truly a lifesaver and I’m sure the recipient appreciates your donation. I’m sorry you had a reaction, but there are ways to minimize the chances of that happening again. You can start drinking plenty of water a few days before. Also, eat a good meal before you donate, but be sure to leave out sodas, coffee and energy drinks. STBTC has a reaction hotline you can call 24 hours a day, too.
It’s great that you’re excited to donate again. There really is no other way to get that feeling of knowing you’ve saved a few lives.
Hey L.Y.A, thank you for donating blood, as it helps save the lives of 3 patients. As for the pain, it is usually the initial needle stick you feel and should disappear in a few seconds. If the pain does not go away in about 15 seconds, please let your technician know right away.

I donated! 4rm burbank high skool! It was my 1st time n I'm 16 I really wanted to try it out so I did it!! It was nothing! I'm proud! it makes Me feel good saying that yew could possibly save 3 people ;)
