CONNEX is a fresh and aspiring dance concept put together by 3 of the most upcoming artists within the Dutch Scene: Rogier Habraken a.k.a. Mindmapper, Levi Smulders a.k.a. El Maria and Mark McCann & Bart van Dijk a.k.a. June Miller
Over the past few years both June Miller , El Maria, and Mindmapper have made a big name for themselves on the worldwide dance scene. With residencies and gigs all over Holland including some of the biggest venues such as Tivoli, Paard van Troje, Waterfront & Simplon as well as parties and festivals all over Europe, releases on renowned labels such as Crunch Recordings, Cylon Recordings and Vibez tied together with a long running radioshow on one of the best online radiostations in the scene, the crew behind CONNEX has their hands in everything. On top of this they have been nominated for the Dutch Drum & Bass awards numerous times including a nomination for best DJ (El Maria) in 2007.
The idea behind CONNEX is to provide Utrecht city with a fresh dance night with broad public appeal, bringing sounds and vibes easily accessible, as well as providing enough musical depth to please the ones looking for that extra bit of musical excitement. Showcasing some of the all time heroes of underground dance music, while also giving the people exciting new sounds with a glimpse of the next level of electronic music.
