As stated before, I am interested in "the arts". But most of all I care about my many friends. I love to meet new people, sit around and relax with a glass of wine and talk, talk, talk. I love the Iowa Great Lakes and everything they have to offer. I love to attend theatre productions in Iowa, Minnesota and Chicago and Omaha!

Corrine Bailey Rae, Sting, Dido, Yann Tiersen, Phil Collins, Shawn Mullins, The Calling, newer K.D. Lang, I love to listen to music from the 1930's to the present.... not really into hard metallic rock I suppose...
Movies
I like movies that move me... a movie that challenges my intellect, that is visually beautiful and creative. I have a sensitive nature so I do not enjoy violence.
Television
I really do not watch much TV... I like Inside the Actors Studio, the Biography Channel, Arts and Entertainment, the Travel Channel. I try to catch up on the news somewhat.
Books
I love to read. I spend a fortune at Barnes and Nobles. I check out stacks of books at the library. I love it when people recommend a good book. FOLLOW THE RIVER by James Alexander Thom (exceptional author) is one of my favorites. I am reading everything I can find by Jhumpa Lahiri (THE NAMESAKE) At the moment I am reading LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA by Gabriel Garcia Marquez next is SOMETIMES A GREAT NOTION by Ken Kesey.
