RUDI'S COUNTRY MUSIC CAFE


A country girl at heart..born in Rockwood, Tennessee,...raised in Dayton, Ohio...I grew up, at my father's feet...sitting on the floor as a child, listening to he and his buddies "jammin"..Everywhere we went..music was always present. From Jim Reeves, to Johnny Cash, to Ray Price...and plenty of female singers..such as my all time favorite, Connie Smith, Patsy Cline...Tammy Wynette, these were my heros in music. I began performing locally, then onto Nashville, Tennessee. I have sung at several of the clubs on Broadway, i.e., Tootsies, The Stage, and more recently, in Music Valley at John A's, and Rudi's Country Music Cafe. "Steal You Away" ... is my second single CD and I am very proud to bring it to you for many reasons. First, because two of the songs that I'd like to bring to your attention is the title song, "Steal You Away", which was written by a good friend of mine, and a wonderful songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee, Lora Kay Alexander, Roses in the Rain Music, who has many, many more where this one came from. This song grabbed me and wouldn't let go, it just kept wanting me to sing it! I guess cause, like many of you out there, I have been there. So, when we relate to a song..and that melody will not leave our mind or our hearts, well, we know that's a good sign it will reach out and touch others in the same way. I think you'll find yourself singing along. Lora, thank you so much dear friend, you are a great songwriter..I hope to do more of your songs! The other song I just loved recording was the final song, which another good friend of mine wrote, Daryl Mosley. It is "You Never Gave Up On Me". This song we can all relate to, I believe. This man is a such a gifted song writer, and singer, who has many years under his belt of writing gospel and country music, performing with the New Traditions gospel group as their lead singer, for 10 years criss crossing this nation performing in every state. He sang, and occasionally still does sing , with and played bass for the legendary bluegrass group, Bobby Osborne and the Rocky Top X-Press, and performed regularly on the Grand Ole Opry for another 9 years. Daryl also has a new gospel Cd now being released ..don't miss an opportunity to hear him sing and play..you will thoroughly enjoy it..I promise! Thank you Daryl for allowing me to sing this beautiful heartfelt, truly humbling song that people have already told me that your song has touched their lives so much, and they want to say "thank you". Your staff of musicians are so talented and professional, and top quality people, what a pleasure it has been to work with all of you!
