About Connie Neilsen

Connie Neilsen is the lastest artist to make her debut in the country music scene. Her sound is unique, and her soft, sweet tone is unmistakable. The 27 year old has just released the first song 'Mistakes' from her upcoming album 'More Than A Memory'. The album consists of 10 original songs, a duet with Bill Chambers and a cover of Dolly Parton's 'Apple Jack' and 'Marry Me'. Connie was raised on a sugar cane farm on the Fraser Coast in Queensland and was one of seven children in her family. Her humble country upbringing is reflected in her music and her original songs. She has a collection of over 25 awards for singing and songwriting. 2007 saw her take out 1st and 2nd the SEQ TSA Songwriting Awards in Brisbane. It was there she met Bill Chambers who produced 'More Than A Memory' in his studio on the Central Coast of New South Wales. In 2008 Connie was a finalist in the Gold Medallion Awards for Queensland in the New Artist section, and 2009 saw her awarded the 'New Songwriter Award' in the Tamworth Songwriters Assosiations' national songwriters awards for her debut single 'Mistakes'.
