First off, I would like to mention guitar hero extraordinaire Michael Angelo Batio for his amazingly clean guitar solos that were played at excessive degrees of speed on the 1989 Nitro "O.F.R." CD. I have to admit, the album (O.F.R.) really sucks in every aspect except for the solos. The music of Nitro is excessively immature and dated, but Michael Angelo’s Lead guitar playing is simply awesome in this one! I'm gonna mention some of the other players I really enjoy listening to as well. Elliot Easton of The Cars, Frank Marino, and Kim Mitchell. I also dig heavy hitters like Steve Morse, Paul Gilbert, Al Di Meola, John Petrucci, Michael Schenker, and George Lynch. I listen to bands such as Magic Elf, Dixie Dregs, Thin Lizzy, Molly Hatchet, Jethro Tull, Dream Theater, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Rhapsody, Riot, and many more.

New project in the works:
The objective here is to complete the new arrangements and record a full-length album inspired by Cirque du Soleil’s reflections on fantasy expressed with twin guitar Pyrotechnics that will push the conscious state of mind even further.
The idea of writing and arranging a theatrical rock opera/Fantasy album is something Conrad has pondered deeply for the past decade. Its chances of success in the rock/metal genre are favorable due to guitar players that have constituted a revival in the neoclassical movement by drawing inspiration from music of the 18th century.

Conrad Simon
A must-hear for guitarist
A Mi..kmaq from the Elsipogtog first nation, Conrad is an independent solo guitarist and composer, who has held guitar clinics for Yamaha Canada Music. In 1996 he recorded and released his first progressive rock instrumental CD entitled "Instrumezzo".
Prior to working for Yamaha, Conrad was involved in compelling two songs for a compilation CD under L.A. Records. This CD, entitled Bite the Wax Tadpole was launched in Ottawa during the summer of 1995.
In early 2002, a music editor for Warren Miller Entertainment stumbled on his version of Antonio Vivaldi's Summer Presto from his non-published 1999 CD "Electric Mysteries of the Sky" through his internet mp3 page. Warren Miller Entertainment licensed that interpretation as a soundtrack for their extreme skiing documentary Storm 2002.
To date, Conrad Simon has composed over 200 instrumental songs that range from electric chamber to chicken pickin.. country. He has also published slower, more emotional soundscapes with a modest attitude of holding back and heart broken blues.
By contrast, Conrad has now compiled an aggressive 13 song shred instrumental CD from demos that were recorded between 1999 and 2005 entitled THE WRATH OF CON. The demo is a rare compilation of unreleased hard rockin.. instrumental music from the phantom zones of Virgolia.
Finally, Conrad Simon's last project was his participation in Troy Grady's documentary film called "Cracking the Code : the secrets of shred guitar" sometime during late winter/early spring of 2006. It is not released yet but if you're interested to learn more about it, please visit http://www.troygrady.com
If you have a serious and professional project on the go and you are looking for an experimented and polyvalent guitarist, do not hesitate to contact Conrad Simon for a proposition. Who knows where it could go...
