About me:
*If you would like to add MCC Alumni as a friend, please send a message with your request that states your full name and the year or summer you were in MCC*
MCC Alumni, this is a place to talk with other MCC'ers and get in touch with old friends. Also, feel free to visit the MCC Alumni Association webpage.
The Minnesota Conservation Corps provides hands-on environmental stewardship and service-learning opportunities to youth and young adults while accomplishing priority cost-effective conservation, natural resource management projects and emergency response work. MCC has two programs: the Summer Youth Program and the Young Adult Program.
The MCC Summer Youth Program
The Summer Youth Program’s philosophy is to develop youth through natural resource work and educational and recreational activities. The summer program is an eight-week residential camp for male and female teenagers, ages 15-18. Summer corpsmembers work on various outdoor, conservation projects. It is unique in that it involves both hearing and non-hearing youth.
The MCC Young Adult Program
MCC Young Adult Program is a year-round, non-residential service and learning experience program for young adults 18 – 25 years old. Corpsmembers work together on crews to improve and conserve natural resources by completing high priority projects and field work through out the state. MCC Young Adult Crews may work on projects for the DNR, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and National Park Service.
