Alright there, we are Consoles and Players from Manchester. We are school friends who go a long way back, with Ali and Mike growing up next door to one another and having a go at writing songs together while they were still fans of Sesame Street. These two write the majority of songs, while Matthew adds beats and production. Dave has been a recent addition to the band on the bass. We like all sorts of music from Jazz through to Van Halen via D'n'B and though we would probably fit into the "indie" genre, we try and incorporate different influences into our music. Though we have only been playing under this name since March, we have played at The Night & Day, The Roadhouse, Joshua Brooks, headlined The Raynor Lounge in Sheffield, and have played numerous times at Prohibition in Leeds, building a following along the way.
The songs on this site are all demos - new recordings should be up on here soon and you can all expect to hear an E.P sometime over the summer. Til then, some more gigs should be on the cards... watch this space...
Oreet chaps! We're playing with you guys again at Night and Day in January! What are the chances, ey? Should be groovy like last time methinks. See you then! Trash/Nick

Well done you magical band people. You were fantastic on monday and i think everyone did well to defy the rain! Everyone I've spoken to had a really good time of it and hope you guys did too - thanks for coming down to support the charities and play a great set. Keep it up.
In Darklight would like to invite you to come support us at Unit 22 in Southampton.
We will be playing on a 'New Bands Night' with three other bands on Wednesday 2nd May.
The tickets for the show cost £4 and the doors open at 8.00pm! We would love to have your support...if you would like to buy a ticket, please visit our MySpace page for more info!
Hey, just another big thank you for last night, you really made everyones nights. I was so happy for you because people who had no idea who you were were dancing and that is especially rare in Sheffield where I find many people are too cool. Everyone was raving about you afterwards wanting to know everything about you. A few quotes "definately the highlight of the night" "that beyonce cover was genius" e.t.c.
We did so much better than expected, the last count was 130 so well done. We managed to breakeven (which was about 75 people) in under an hour and people were actually queueing to get in at 9!
Really appreciate everything you did and hope you got home OK lads. Shame you didn't stay for the DJ set but it was cool coz even though a lot of people had left by that point it was like our own private party. Was Tuesday Club good? A mate came round afterwards for our afterparty and was pretty mashed so hope you too had a good one.
Alreet peolpe. Sounding quite damn good. Also Ali if you want to listen to a good new band search for san froyd on myspace they are also qyite damn good.
Much love

Cheers for the comment. Glad you enjoy the music and shit. Lookin to play manchester sometime in the not so distant future methinks, see what we can do an' dat!
Well, it's all we have, lol. When you haven't got a drummer or figured out anything else, you might as well make it interesting! Cheers for the Mario comment. If you go on...
