Bio:

.. .. .. Conspiracy was formed at the end of 1999 in Uddevalla(Sweden) by Martin(the former drummer), Björn and Andreas. From the beginning it was meant to be a heavy metal band but when the music was created it became more aggressiv and faster then expected. Micke joined the band in autumn 2000 and Jocke joined us a year after. Martin decided to leave the band in autumn 2003 and Rikard joined Conspiracy as a new batterist. In autumn 2004 the lead singer Micke P decided to leave the band because of to much time in other projects. At the same time Jocke and Rikard also left the band. Andreas and Björn will continue as a 2-memberband until new members appear. In January 2006 the new member Linn was taking place in Conspiracy as a singer. Four demos has been recorded so far with three songs each. In lack of money their debutdemo was recorded and mixed in a rehearsal room on a portable studio by the members themselves. On the first demo (Oppressed for years, 2001) Conspiracy had no bass player so Björn put his fingers on it. The second (Conspiracy, 2002) and the third demo (Concert in sickness, 2003) were recorded and mixed at Hellbound studios by Loud n' Nasty. The fourth demo (All you ever feared, 2006) were recorded and mixed at Musikhuset/Fullmoon studios(Uddevalla) by Conspiracy. Kalle (Greif of Emerald, Mastema) was playing drums and former members, Micke P on vocals and Jocke on bass. The response to these demos has been pretty good around the world from fans and zines. Some of this feedback is found at the Conspiracy website along with news and other stuff about the band, check it out!!! Some merchandise like T-shirts with Conspiracy logo has been created for sale. Conspiracy has done a couple of interviews in zines and performed live at rockbars and festivals.



In spring 2007 Conspiracy switched name to Chtonium. The name changed because too many other bands had the same name, causing confusion among fans, and with new members joining, the name change was natural. Chtonium will continue the thrash metal Conspiracy began with, and spread the sound further. A new demo will be released in the summer of 2007, called “In Sour Ground”.
