Many years ago (November 2004) a new band was formed, called The Touch. In The Touch there was Ali Goodier (Bass & vocals), Dan Glover (Rhythm guitar & vocals), James Hickman (Lead guitar) and Luke Hamilton (Drums). After nine months together Dan, commonly known as “Moon-pie”, left the band as him and his family moved to Peebles in Scotland. When the group started rehearsing again they decide on a name change and after various crazy suggestions they decided to stick with the name Conspiracy.
Rehearsals became a regular part of the week occurring every Friday afternoon and Conspiracy carried on as a three piece. They had their first gig at HYPeR with other local band Geoffrey’s Experience on the 27th January 2006.
After the gig normal rehearsals resumed until March, when Rhythm Guitarist Suzi Vickers joined the band. She left in May 2006 as her and her family were moving to Bedale. Will Lynch then joined the band until February 2007 until the band decided that piano/keyboard didn't fit in to any of their songs well. Once again the band became the familiar three-piece of Ali, James and Luke.
Conspiracy plays mostly a lot of its own songs but also covers several songs, including The Who - My Generation, Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love and for some reason the Scooby Doo theme tune.
