(Showbox at the Market) Constant Lovers are tragically not a Jonathan Richman covers act fronted by Stranger books editor Paul Constant—so, if that's what you were hoping for, sorry (and we'll see what we can do about making that idea a reality). However, if what you were hoping for was a raw, pummeling rock 'n' roll band marked by drunk-staggering distorted bass grooves, subtly adventurous drumming, feedback-laced guitars shredded to within an inch of their life, and red-faced throat-ravaging screaming, then you are in a whole lot of luck. The five songs posted on the band's website suggest that tonight's show should get off to a solid start of slow-mo headbanging and intermittently frenzied flailing about. Headliners the Murder City Devils used to be some band or something—no one really knows. ERIC GRANDY thestranger.com

Thursday night’s Showbox headliners - a little band called the Murder City Devils - were amazing, of course. But the evening offered me the added joy of falling in love with openers Constant Lovers. The group created complex, layered music, their sometimes-growling, sometimes-soaring vocals anchored by heavy drums. With two, three, or even all four of the band members regularly wielding the sticks, the percussion is dense and almost primal, causing your body to respond instinctively. Constant Lovers hit me in the very core — and I loved it. -Brittney at threegigs.com

Gibson L6-S
Has a bat sticker (or shadow of one) on the headstock. The pickup switch is put in pretty rough, has chisel marks around the ring. Has a little 3-way switch by the input jack.
please let us know if you see it. It was taken in Seattle.
So here's the deal. On Saturday, Nov. 21st (next month), I'm going to be playing at The Best of the Northwest Women of Rock. There will be 16 cameras videotaping the event and it's going to be at capacity. I will personally be delivering tickets in a few Sundays. Please come out and support your local hotties. All I would need is how many tickets you'd like and an address to deliver them in person. I'll propose a time as soon as I can. Hope to hear from you soon. :)
Thank you so much for taking time to read this. Can't wait for this killer night to creep up and blast us in the face!
