Bogota’s Minimal/Tech House duo Gare Mat K & Alex Young is the latest South American performance of DJ/producers to the bitten by the Minimal Progressive/Tech House bug. Their live performances mix the software technologies, midi keyboards, vinyls and exclusive CD-R’s, next to a series, of fx’s, pedals and videos, that do of their sets most of desired by Clubs, festivals and specialized radios in electronic music.
Contact World Tour present an ace artist duo/performance by the hands of one of best Colombian Dj/live performers, considered in South America big promise been voted 2 at one of most outstanding international contests among more of 200 Dj’s, as well as top 10 in sales at major music stores all over Colombia with his debut compilation 2xCD entitle ‘Comunicacion’ released on February 2006 mixed by GARE MAT K, along with one of best Minimal and Tech House worldwide producers, recently nominated on Beatport’s 2009 awards as best Minimal producer by the name of ALEX YOUNG.
THE ARTISTS
Gare Mat K as known in his productions for artists as Anthony Pappa, has been special invited by his impeccable sets to open the nights for John Digweed in two opportunities, BT, Loco Dice, Timo Maas, Hernan Cattaneo, Pole Folder, Danny Howells, Stel, Hatiras... and has share stage with Sasha, Sander Kleinenberg, Cassius, Danny Rampling and Tom Pooks among many more.
His musical productions are played by artists such as Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Pole Folder, Anthony Pappa, Tom Pooks, Eelke Kleijn, Flash Brothers, Stian Klo, Ben Brown and Kosmas Epsilon among many more, also charted at radios such as Proton, Frisky, DI.fm and ETN.
His strictly music selection goes from classy minimal house, new tech and modern tech house; to avant-garde progressive stuff making a perfect joint venture between concept and dance-floor party.
Gare Mat K has been invited to play at the renowned festival 'Encuentro Electronico' in the city of Bogota, next to artists such as Gustavo Lamas, Vladislav Delay, Portable, Crackhaus, Tim Hecker and Luomo among others supported by the Canadian festival 'Mutek'; besides, he has been invited to participate along with the band 'Posthuman' at the most important festival in South America called 'Rock al Parque', in front of more than 50,000 people.
His sets have been listened all over Colombia, being resident at the best clubs of Bogota and Medellin, as well he has played in Chile, USA and Spain, been invited in the 2008 European summer by Pole Folder to play together at a Boat Party in the sland of Ibiza.
Actually Gare drives the Progrezo Records’ monthly shows at Frisky Radio and DI.fm, where artists such as John Digweed, Markus Schulz, Blank & Jones, Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox and Ferry Corsten among other personalities, have their exclusive own transmissions.
Currently, Gare is working next to Beatpor’ts Minimal nominated artist Alex Young, on their first DUO compilation 2xCD entitle 'CONTACT traumfahrt', which will include exclusive own productions, best worldwide new talents; in addition to latest works from renowned producers world-over. Gare is also working in several remixes and on his debut original album, which will include important collaborations from outstanding producers around the globe.

Contact world tour will support in 2009 the upcoming compilation 2xCD entitle ‘Contact traumfahrt’ mixed by Gare Mat K and Alex Young, which will include exclusive productions from them, in addition to best new talents and renowned worldwide producers that are being confirmed such as Gui Boratto, Modeselektor, Telefon Tel Aviv, Tom Pooks, Grunjah, Fjor, Luke Porter, Darin Epsilon and Chris Cargo among others.
The team behind Contact world tour will conduct around 120-date tour beginning in April 2009. They are planning to tour USA, Canada and Centre America, before moving onto Europe and the United Kingdom followed by a couple weeks of shows in Germany and Spain, moving then to Asia, Australia, United Arab Emirates and finishing in South America.
