I'm really into the acid jazz sound: jazz+soul+rhythm - always nicer with some flute or vibes. I love hearing remixes of classic jazz - the Nina Simone and Billie Holiday remix projects as well as the Verve//Remixed and Blue Note Revisited series. In the same vein, I like hearing jazzy house music, jazztronica, or any jazz/electronica hybrid

About me:
I've been a fan of contemporary jazz for over 15 years. What is contemporary jazz? My definition of it is broad - it's jazz with a modern sound (frequently electronic). It includes styles like fusion, acid jazz, and smooth jazz. It often melds jazz with another style like soul, hip hop, world music, or rock. Some of the major names that I feel exemplify it are Miles Davis, Pat Metheny, Joe Zawinul, and Joe Sample.In January 1996, I created a web site dedicated to this music. That site was originally called cJazz: The ContemporaryJazz Site but soon became ContemporaryJazz.com. I worte news, reviews, and posted new release dates on that site almost every day for several years before selling it in 2001. After missing the abiity to share the music I enjoyed with a global audience, I soon created a new site called TomorrowJazz.com. TomorrowJazz focused more on nu jazz, remixed jazz, and acid jazz. Recently, I had the fortune of resuming ownership of the site I founded. ContemporaryJazz.com and ContemporaryJazz.com Radio will have a little something for everyone interested in modern jazz.

In cast you're a movie buff, 2 more days until my music comes out on the soundtrack of "The Love Guru" (Mike Myers) for Paramount..excellent comedy. If you go to see it pls. listen for my music. It was contemporary enough for Paramount...taking 10 friends of mine to the movie premier day after tomorrow. Popcorn for everybody!
