what's happenin Dave.. sorry it has taken me so long to get back. I've been really busy with work, and actually I'm ready to start a fresh project.. we should find a night to work on some stuff... can you do tuesday, thursday or friday night? i'm also free on the weekends... later buddy let me know
yeah, if you want to do a little research over the holidays, just google things like 'supercollider, pure data, reaktor, aphex twin, squarepusher, autechre, etc.." those guys use some strange and interesting gear! have a good break and lookin forward to getting the ball rollin in '08
shit, i also forgot to mention my roommate is all about building circuit bent instruments and his own personal effects/stynth creations... we should utilize his efforts because he knows what he's doing
three? damn. well there is one at my house you can use, and my guitar is here now along with the keyboards/midi/computer and recording geal all ready to go. all i need are some mics (all ihave a is a lowly sm57). i think you're style is drumming fits right in with my jazz fusion/reggaetron/dub/rock sound... what do you think? the electronic component is made up of such a wide variety of gear.. mpcs, computer programs such as max/msp (behind bjork's "reactable", pd, supercollider, reason, and whatever DAW you choose (cubase, logic, etc.)) lets get this shit rolling for real
yo whats up? thanks for acting as circus ringleader the other night... typical craziness over there at scott's house. honestly, i am ready to make something serious out of the circus (while maintaining circus attitude...) lets make some music soon... hopefully i'll have some wheels shortly and we can set up shop somewhere other than the looney bin. gimme a shout sometime... also, do you know any other musicians you'd like to play with that you think i'd get along with? looking forward to disucssing this at the length it deserves.
For your listening enjoyment, we, Rollin' Home offer an alternative to the other bullshit going on this weekend. We will be playing a free show at Allen's on Saturday along with Samurai Trout and Chris McCay and the Critical Darlings, possibly a couple other bands. The show is a benefit for the Clarke County Afterschool Program so come on out and support a worthy cause. Did I mention that they have a full bar and great hamburgers?
yeah, that was interesting... those guys throw down pretty hard - i really like playin with scott and charlie.. we should convene for more creation. i think they'd be down for the experimental
