Contingency Plan absorb influences from all things good and bad. Science vs Religion. Society & people. Technology eating wildlife. All music, music with soul and passion. Music with a purpose. Music with drive. Music that breaks boundaries.
Sounds Like
Revolutionary dance anthem classics mixed up with heavy metal and aggressive rap styles. Dark & dirty basslines and original glitchy breaks and bits. Funky arse melodies and soulful, heartpounding enthusiasm. Its sanity in madness.
Contingency Plan formed in 2004 through the collaboration of MC Corrosion, MC Catharsis & DJ/producer, The Plan. This threesum rap metal group blast out a sound and energy that is extremely unique. Originating from just north of London the three band members are highly influenced by the UK's capital, its society and urban culture. But also influenced by the surrounding green lands of Hertfordshire, Catharsis and Corrosion introduce a new mind towards an urban orientated musical genre. They specialise in writing technical & meaningful lyrics taken from their hearts, dealing with issues and concepts that either affect them or situations they have personally experienced. They revolve their narratives around heavy basslines and funky melodies for their diverse pumping vibe. The three artists have many contrasting influences in musical genres, ranging from heavy metal to 80s electronica and through the combination of all their interests CP succeed in creating their dynamic sound. With an increasing number of reviews comparing this band to a cross between Beastie Boys and the Prodigy, we can see that Contingency Plan navigate a revolutionary approach towards the future of dance music entertainment. It's hip, it's funky, it's heavy, it's technical and it's soulful. When mixed with their epic visual style CP generate the ultimate entertianment package. Do not miss the 5 Minutes Too Fast music video based on horror created by Catharsis. Now gather your intelligence and interpret the lyrics and sounds of CP... More than anything Contingency Plan live to entertain so feel their vibe, buy some tunes & watch them perform live for a mind bending show.
