Controlled Burn is a troupe of talented fire performance artists, formed in the year 2000, whose true passion is fire. They hail from the diverse Truckee Meadows region of Northern Nevada, and enjoy presenting their trademark offerings of very large flame. Further defined by a cast of troupe members from all walks of life, they thrill audiences with the intentional interaction between fire and the humans attempting to create vivid and moving work with a living medium.

Controlled Burn Presents: Compression! A Celebration of Fire and Performance Art!

.. WE'RE DOING IT AGAIN!! Controlled Burn is producing Northern Nevada's SECOND ANNUAL Celebration of Fire and Performance Art, Compression! Head on over to the website we made for this fabulous event and find out how to get you or your art involved, how to help out, or just when to come and see all the awesome stuff we have planned for you as part of Reno's 14th annual Artown celebration. The event will take place Saturday July 25, 2009 from 3pm-11pm downtown at the Reno City Plaza.
